There was a time; a time in this lifetime, when I would doze off listening to the sound of the afternoon drizzle or when I would wonder about listening to the still voice of the rain-forest ..........there was a time, sometime back in the not so distant past that I would walk a path overgrown with grass and I would be drenched in the morning dew. Now I can only remember this like a dream that keeps plaguing my mind - the peace that was an integral part of this time also seems to have faded .........now as I walk the concrete jungle which is my abode, I am doused in this obscene heat, like seas of hatred and torment - thrashing on all sides -I keep imagining that when nature would have groaned in anger for a time, it will explode in a show stopping rage and humanity as we know it will be no more. Let's take care of our environment; not as an act of benevolence but as an atonement with it for our existence.

We paint our placards empty, with so many un-sounding words, while our troubles grow plenty, Truth is lost under a heap of words. We paint our feelings, in colour, in fervent endeavor, To match the tenor of our souls, Sometimes dark, sometimes in fervor. We paint our discourse in lies, Bringing to life a splash false amity to see us thro’ a short friendly day ere, we are torn apart by an infant calamity. All we do is paint, brushes nonchalant at hand, we may unknowingly paint, Our existence extinct.

My pen dances to the dirge of my soul beating; to be released out of its spool Roaring words thunder to deaf ears returning back in deafening echoes endeavors becomes founders to oblivion awakened to angst, deprived of expression.

I am an earthling, I was born on earth. We have been here for many, many years; the question of where we came from has only elicited controversy. There are folklore, theories and stories that contradict each other. Out there in the cosmos is an expanse that we are yet to fully explore. It is said that we are humankind; but somehow, someone, something shredded off as you would postage stamp off an envelope; the kind in our kind......Scientist say we are grounded on this planet by a force they call gravity.........or the grounding force. They say earth is the only planet that supports life - however they have been of late exploring the possibility of life out there in the expansive scope of what we call the universe, there has been stories of a new found earth-twin out there, they gave it a nam...
